ARC Review: A Dark and Hollow Star by Ashley Shuttleworth

RATING: 4.35 stars

REVIEW:

This epic queer fae featuring YA fantasy follows four teens (a half-fae, an exiled Fury, a fae prince, and the prince’s secretive guard), in attempt to thwart a dangerous killer, hunting half-faes in downtown Toronto.

I really liked this one - diverse characters, a local setting, and fantasy elements with a hint of danger that will keep you guessing. The suspense grew as the story developed, as did the slow burn romance between characters. I gravitated towards Arlo most, but it was fun to see the perspective of all 4 main characters. It did take a bit for me to figure out who was who, and to connect with the characters because of the multiple POVs though. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
